Cincinnati residents claim the 2024 Flying Pig Half Marathon crowns

The winners of the Flying Pig Half Marathon are both from Cincinnati. Jonathan Harley, who is from Cincinnati, crossed the finish line at 1:10:44 to become the men’s half marathon winner. WLWT caught up with Harley after crossing the finish pigs. He said he has been a runner for a long time, but this is his first time running a marathon. “I think this was the year I had some extra time and I wanted to go out there and prove that I can do it,” Harley said. He said he recommends the marathon to anyone thinking of participating. “It’s a great way to encourage people to get active, I would highly recommend it to anyone,” said Harley. Eric Gruenbacker of Loveland, Ohio, finished second in the men’s half marathon race at 1:12:08. Jules Madzia of Cincinnati crossed the finish line at 1:19:50 to win the women’s half marathon “It feels great. I haven’t run this race in ten years, so I wanted to come back and run it,” Madzia. “It’s just such a fun race, everyone from Cincinnati comes out to cheer.” Madzia praised the Cincinnati running community and their support during the race. “I will definitely run with the pig again,” said Madzia.
